When you sign up to our News Subscription service, we will collect your email address. By using the News Subscription service you consent to us using this information in order to send you by email our News Posts as and when they are published. To unsubscribe and have your email deleted from this service, either click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of a News Post email, or contact us directly by email with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.

Subject to your prior consent, we may publish information you provide about treatment you received from us as a Testimonial on our website. Our website follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. Additional Policy Information

Therapy and the therapeutic alliance which is created when you engage with us is only possible with your complete collaboration. Your safety and privacy are our number one priority at all times.

Zoom Therapy

If you decide to engage in therapy over zoom then your connection with us is completely secure and the session is encrypted from beginning to end.

Once you have booked an appointment you will receive an invitation via email to link directly with us at the chosen day and time. Admission into the appointment is via a unique link and password which will be sent to you. The password etc are unique and valid for that session only. Our connection is completely secure, all communications between us during each therapy session are encrypted end to end. These sessions are not recorded. No data from the transmissions is kept. The only participants in the therapy will be myself as the therapist and yourself – the client.

I operate from a completely secure premises and nobody else will be a party to our therapy sessions.

As part of therapy it is essential for me to ask various medical and lifestyle questions. These are recorded into secure client records and need to be kept for their sole purpose of being clinical records. All clinical records are stored under the strictest of criteria as required by law and by the regulations I must adhere to as part of my various professional accreditations.

As part of your therapy I may need to obtain details of your GP or any other mental health-care professional who may be treating you. This is a legal requirement and is also necessary to comply with the requirements of my professional indemnity insurance. I will NEVER contact any of these people without your prior written consent, except in an emergency situation where I would have a duty of care to protect you from seriously harming yourself or others.

A record of each session is kept in order to monitor your progress throughout the therapy.

This service operates under the laws of the United Kingdom, regardless of the country you are in.

Should you ever wish to see a record of the data we hold about you under the GDPR regulations this can be obtained from us by requesting it in writing at the address above. Such information will be provided promptly and in all cases within 30 days of such a request being made.

In-person therapy

Face-to-face and in-person therapy sessions conducted at my premises are held in complete privacy. All details and records are kept in a locked safe accessible only by me. Your details are not shared with anyone unless I have your full written consent.

As part of my conditions of treatment I will need to take a brief medical history from you together with details of your GP and any other mental health professionals who may be treating you. I will only contact them if I have your written consent, unless I need to contact them because I feel you are in danger of causing harm to yourself or others, in which case I may have a duty of care to report the matter to them.

Your privacy and mental welfare are my main concern at all times. The basis of any therapeutic relationship is one of trust and confidence. Your safety, welfare and mental wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do, if you have any concerns whatsoever or need any further clarification then please feel free to discuss this with us.
